Starr, whose hamster-eating antics led to The Sun’s most famous headline, was 76.
And his haunting last Facebook post has since been revealed, with the comedian writing: “I’m ok getting tired more now but otherwise I’m doing good.
“I just have to say thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the kind comments and messages it really does mean a lot so thank you to each and everyone of you thanks so much. Freddie.”
A carer discovered him on the floor of his Costa Del Sol apartment, calling emergency crews about 3pm local time yesterday.
The entertainer was one of the biggest stars of the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Fans loved his wacky, wild, and unpredictable behaviour.
