For a lot of kids growing up in the ‘90s, watching anime on television was some of the first exposure they got to the genre. Viewers fell in love with Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and especially Dragon Ball Z. So it must be a shock to many growing up that the shows they were watching were heavily edited from their original form.
