We’re just around the corner from what will surely be the biggest movie of the year. Fans are counting down the days until we get to see the Avengers face off yet again against Thanos and maybe try to undo all the terrible things that happened in the last movie. But there may be some tiny details in the MCU that hinted at what will surely come to pass in Endgame. And when we say tiny, we mean tiny. For instance, during a scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Steve Rogers states to Tony Stark that the only way they’ll be able to win against Ultron is together. But if they lose, they’ll also go down together. Due to contracts and the narrative beats of these characters coming to an end, it may be that the two de facto leaders of the Avengers won’t see another movie after this. Hawkeye took a back seat in Infinity War to spend time with his family on house arrest. Not even Thanos could bring him out of that pinch, but suddenly, he’s back in action. What happened? Tony’s clothing in the Endgame trailer is likely intentionally similar to what he was wearing in the first Iron Man film during the first act in the cave. The Russo Brothers released a cryptic photo on Twitter in September 2018 that had fans looking for clues. Were they just trolling fans? The name Endgame also isn’t terribly random if you’ve been following the MCU, it’s been uttered twice now. Farmer Thanos can be seen in the Endgame trailer, but what does that mean for him as a character? Due to off-screen moments that happened in Ultron, it suddenly seems possible that either Ultron or Vision could make a comeback in Endgame. Finally, thanks to a non-answer from the Russo Brothers at a fan Q&A, it seems the end of Infinity War was actually more important than we thought.
